Organic Dextrose

Matco's Organic Dextrose is a fully converted, high-DE sweetener made from certified organic rice starch. It is gluten-free, non-GMO, vegan and hypoallergenic, delivering clean, immediate sweetness and complete fermentability.

Where maltodextrin stops early and syrup solids stop partway, dextrose is the end of the conversion: the starch is broken all the way down to glucose. That gives it the sharpest sweetness in the range, the fastest solubility and the readiest fermentation, which is why brewers, confectioners and nutrition formulators ask for it by name.

Frequently Asked Questions

A sweetener made by fully converting certified organic rice starch into glucose with enzymes, then purifying and drying it. Dextrose is simply the commercial name for glucose in this form.
Yes, chemically. Dextrose is the name used for the commercially produced form of glucose, and in food labelling the two terms are generally interchangeable, with local rules deciding which appears on the pack.
They are three stops along the same conversion. Maltodextrin is barely converted, so it is bland and functional. Syrup solids go further and taste sweet. Dextrose is fully converted to glucose: the sweetest, fastest-dissolving and most fermentable of the three.
Label and allergen reasons, usually. Rice Dextrose is naturally gluten-free, non-GMO and free of the major allergens, which keeps the ingredient list clean and clears more markets.
Yes. Glucose is directly and completely fermentable, so Organic Rice Dextrose works as a clean, certified-organic fermentable sugar.
Yes. Rice contains no gluten, our process uses no animal-derived inputs, and the ingredient is hypoallergenic and non-GMO.
Stored sealed in original packaging in a cool, dry place, it typically keeps 24 months. As a crystalline low-moisture product the main storage risk is moisture pickup, which causes caking.
Yes. Sample quantities are available for lab evaluation with the technical data sheet and certification documents before any commercial commitment.
