Organic Rice Syrup

Matco's Organic Rice Syrup is a certified organic, nutritive sweetener made from organically grown rice. It is gluten-free, non-GMO, vegan and hypoallergenic, and comes in DE levels from 28 to 64 to control sweetness, texture and functionality in food and beverage applications.

It is a thick, golden syrup with a mild, malty sweetness that binds dry ingredients, retains moisture and resists crystallization, while the label declaration stays as simple as it gets: organic rice syrup. Every organic shipment includes a transaction certificate for your certifier, and the DE range matches our conventional grade exactly, so a recipe can move to organic without reformulating.

Lower DE grades bind and hold moisture, the standard for organic snack bars and granola. Higher DE grades sweeten more, for organic confectionery and beverages. Tell us your application and we will recommend the grade.

Only organically grown rice. The rice starch is broken down by natural enzymes into maltose, glucose and longer-chain carbohydrates, then filtered and concentrated. No added colors, flavors, preservatives or other sweeteners.
Functionally yes. Same DE range, same variants, same specs. The difference is the certified organic raw material and the certified organic processing chain, documented by transaction certificates.
Unopened and stored properly it keeps for 24 months. Once opened, keep it tightly sealed, cool and away from sunlight, and discard it if you notice a fermented smell, mold or unusual cloudiness.
Yes. Rice contains no gluten and our process uses no animal-derived inputs. The syrup is hypoallergenic and made from GMO-free rice.
