Tapioca Ingredients supplied by Matco Foods
Overview

One source, multiple functions

Matco's tapioca ingredients are clean-label sweeteners and carbohydrates made from cassava starch. Naturally gluten-free, non-GMO, vegan and hypoallergenic, they are the taste-neutral side of the portfolio: they sweeten, carry, bind and add body without contributing any flavor or color of their own.

That neutrality is why formulators reach for tapioca in beverages, dairy, light-colored confectionery and delicate infant recipes, and why it is the usual choice when a product needs a base other than rice or corn. The range covers syrups, maltodextrin, syrup solids, dextrose and milk powder, in conventional, certified organic and infant grades.

Tapioca Syrup range

Tapioca Syrup

A clear, smooth syrup with a clean, neutral taste. It sweetens, binds, retains moisture and holds stable viscosity without adding flavor or color, making it useful for beverages, dairy and light-colored products.
Tapioca Maltodextrin range

Tapioca Maltodextrin

A low-sweetness powder that carries flavors, adds bulk and builds texture in dry blends, beverages and nutrition products without contributing a noticeable taste.
Tapioca Syrup Solids range

Tapioca Syrup Solids

Spray-dried tapioca syrup brings mild sweetness and binding to dry blends, instant beverages and powdered nutrition where a liquid sweetener is impractical.
Tapioca Dextrose range

Tapioca Dextrose

A high-DE tapioca sweetener that delivers clean sweetness and fermentability in beverages, confectionery, nutrition products and fermentation applications without a strong flavor.
Tapioca Drink Powders range

Tapioca Drink Powders

Tapioca milk powder offers a mild, lactose-free base for plant-based beverages, creamers, bubble tea systems and desserts where a neutral powdered ingredient is useful.

Cassava root. The starch is extracted from cassava, then either converted by natural enzymes into syrups, maltodextrin, syrup solids and dextrose, or dried into powders. No harsh chemistry, no added colors, flavors or preservatives.
Yes. Cassava contains no gluten, and the range is vegan, hypoallergenic and non-GMO, free of the major allergens including soy, dairy, corn and rice.
Tapioca is the more taste- and color-neutral of the two, so it wins in beverages, dairy and delicate or light-colored products. Rice brings a mild, slightly malty character and offers the widest product range. Many customers run both, assigned by product line, qualified from one supplier.
Tapioca is the starch extracted from the cassava root. The plant is cassava; the refined starch and its derivatives are tapioca.
Yes. Syrup, maltodextrin, syrup solids and dextrose are available certified organic with transaction certificates, and syrup, maltodextrin and syrup solids are produced in dedicated infant grades tested lot by lot.
